30 Scientific Instruments¶
Scope¶
Scientific instruments couple a phenomenon, interaction region, detector, calibration process, and reported measurement. Atlas examples include CPC and particle counters, SEM, TEM, STM, AFM, spectrometers, cameras, and detector arrays.
Entries in this family should follow the shared Observer Grammar.
Instrument Families¶

Atlas Recording Pattern¶
Each instrument entry should identify stimulus, interaction mechanism, detector, calibration, units, dynamic range, reconstruction, artifacts, and uncertainty. Similar-looking outputs from different instruments remain distinct measurement channels unless a documented transform establishes a comparison basis.
The v1.9 measurement vocabulary is an early computational analogue, not an instrument-validation result. See Project Glowing Heart.
